My name is Yvette Sands and I teach a freshman orientation course. The course is designed to help students get acclimated to the college environment and to assist them with professional development skills such as resume writing, job search mechanisms, and interviewing.

Using Articulate Storyline 360, I created a learning module on how to write a professional resume. Storyline 360 is a type of e-learning authoring software that allows users to create interactive courses and modules. Storyline utilizes a responsive player that allows for the content to be viewed on a variety of electronic devices such as computers, tablets, and smartphones. The software employs HTML5 which enables the content created in the Storyline to appear better on screens, run faster, and support a variety of interactive features.

The resume writing learning module’s goal is to teach students how to write a professional resume. Students are provided instruction on content, format, and other best practices related to resume writing. The learning module is interactive and is designed to engage students in the content of the material as they progress through the lesson. A quiz is provided at the end of the lesson to access if students have mastered the objectives presented at the beginning of the learning module.
